1966 Ford Mustang Rental Added in Tennessee

Picture Car Coordinator has added a 1966 Ford Mustang to its network through USA Movie Cars. This coupe sits in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and gives crews working in the state a period-correct vehicle for projects that need authentic 1960s styling. The listing supplies a clean example of the model that producers can evaluate for scenes set in that era.

Spotlight on this 1966 Ford Mustang

The vehicle is described as an all-original 289 V8 coupe finished in Ford Maroon, which registers as burgundy on the exterior. It carries a black interior and rides on an automatic transmission. The two-door body style and overall clean condition make it suitable for shots that require a finished, unmolested Mustang without visible modifications.

Producers can review the full set of photos and details on the USA Movie Cars listing to judge how the paint, trim, and interior read on camera. Because the car remains in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, local productions gain a short transit option while crews filming elsewhere in the state can still reach it within a reasonable drive.

Picture Car Coordinator and the Tennessee Picture Car Market

Picture Car Coordinator works with USA Movie Cars to surface vehicles that productions need across multiple states. When a listing such as this 1966 Ford Mustang appears in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, the network connection helps location managers and picture car coordinators locate it quickly through a single search. USA Movie Cars maintains relationships with state picture-car sites such as Tennessee Picture Cars so that crews can filter results by region without jumping between unrelated databases.

This arrangement benefits both national shoots that travel to Tennessee and smaller projects that stay local. The Murfreesboro placement adds a central-Tennessee option that can support schedules based in Nashville or other nearby production hubs. Producers gain access to the same vehicle data whether they start on Picture Car Coordinator or on the broader USA Movie Cars platform.

History of the 1966 Ford Mustang

The 1966 model year marked the second full season for the Mustang after its 1964½ debut. Ford kept the basic proportions while refining trim and mechanical packages, and the coupe body style remained one of the most common configurations. The 289 V8 engine offered a balance of performance and reliability that appealed to buyers at the time and still registers on screen as a period-correct powerplant.

Coupes from this year carry the clean, fastback-adjacent roofline that reads as unmistakably 1960s in establishing shots or background plates. The Maroon exterior and black interior combination matches factory offerings and avoids later customization trends, which helps the car blend into scenes set between 1965 and 1970 without additional set dressing.

Tennessee Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews filming period pieces in Tennessee can place the Mustang on a residential street, in a downtown block, or at a roadside location to establish the correct decade. Its compact size also works for tighter shots where a larger vehicle would crowd the frame. Still photographers and commercial directors often request similar coupes when the brief calls for vintage American muscle without modern distractions.

Music video and branded content teams can use the car as a character vehicle or as background texture that supports wardrobe and set choices. Because the vehicle is already in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, productions that need multiple days of photography or repeated takes can keep the car on set rather than arranging daily transport from farther away.
